About Maharishi Peace Palaces

The culmination of Maharishi's desire to open beautifully designed Transcendental Meditation centres two decades ago, the Maharishi Peace Palaces are meant to be ‘homes' of Total Knowledge that

lies at the basis of all creation and natural phenomena. They are meant to be centres for the dissemination of the vast body of Vedic knowledge that is a precious gift from Maharishi to the whole world.

Rooted in constructional principles explained in the Vedic tradition, the aesthetic design of these palaces is meant to invoke a sense of deep bliss. This is a centre that, through various in-house peace promoting activities, radiate waves of love and joy that will benefit not only the visitors, but the surroundings as well. This is a place that can truly be called ‘home', where one can rediscover his or her sense of deep stillness within and be rid of stress and suffering, thus becoming a medium for establishing ‘Heaven on Earth'.

The Maharishi Peace Palace in Noida, India

Having been planned for since long, the first ever Maharishi Peace Palace for India has been inaugurated in sector 70 of Noida, a satellite city in the National Capital Region of India, which also includes Delhi.

A pristine white four storey building, it stands out as an oasis of peace from afar even as one approaches. The main facade invokes a sense of blissful calm with its symmetrical Vedic design. The interiors are well lit during the day due to the presence of windows all around the building, and the cross ventilation imparts a light, airy feeling all day long.

Some features of the Peace Palace include –

  • Marble flooring
  • Meditation room
  • Spacious basement for meets, get-togethers and conferences
  • Residential rooms for visitors, with attached bathrooms and common kitchenette on every floor
  • A central skylit atrium or Brahmasthan at the meeting point of the four cardinal directions, which disperses positive energy within the Peace Palace
  • Water softening system
  • Air conditioning on each floor

Maharishi's own quotes on the Peace Palaces

"Every wave of inspiration of these inaugurations of these Peace Palaces, and the exhortations of great blissful sentiments from the leaders of the Movement throughout the world, reassures us that the voice of today, the voice of this generation, reassures the forthcoming future generations that the world is going to be in the light of what is expected to be – in the light of God, perfection."

~ Maharishi speaking on Akshaya Tritiya Day 2003

"The Peace Palaces will provide total knowledge to raise the whole population to enlightenment. They will radiate peace throughout the world in the same way as a lighted lamp radiates light and eliminates darkness."

~ Maharishi speaking at the Global News Conference on 22nd September 2004

A Peace Palace is a common property; it is a property for everyone who wants to live life in peace, in happiness, and in freedom from problems, sickness and suffering. Everyone wishes for that – every family wishes their children to enjoy that.

Get the land, and we'll build Peace Palaces together. But do it quickly….All glory to Guru Dev."

~ Maharishi speaking to the World Peace Parliament on 8th July 2004

The Peace Palace was officially opened to visitors with an event on the 17th of September, 2016, in which the International administrator from the Global Country of World Peace for India, Raja Harris Kaplan, addressed a group of TM practitioners from across the NCR on the worldwide Transcendental Meditation Movement.
